This report provides a detailed analysis of leisure and hospitality construction projects globally, based on projects tracked by GlobalData.

GlobalData is tracking a pipeline of leisure and hospitality buildings projects with a total value of $2.6 trillion. This comprises of hotel and resorts projects, in addition to mixed-use developments that include a significant component of leisure and hospitality. The pipeline comprises of projects with the mixed-use developments accounting for the larger portion of the pipeline by value, at $1.7 trillion, while the hotel and resorts projects have a combined value of $908.1 million. The global pipeline is dominated by projects in the late stages of development, with 77% of projects being in the pre-execution and execution phases - this amounts to $2 trillion in total value. Of this amount, $1.6 trillion is in the execution stage, and $394.9 billion is in the pre-execution stage. Projects in the early stages account for a relatively small share, with 23% of the pipeline by value reflecting projects in the pre-planning stage and planning stages. The largest overall pipeline is in Middle East and North Africa, totaling $789.2 billion, of which $671.7 billion is already in the execution stage, representing 85.1% of the total pipeline. This is followed by the pipeline in North America, with 58.9% of projects by value already in execution.
